This week I have signed up for Project Spectrum . If you haven’t heard of Project Spectrum before, it is basically a concept of working with a particular colour in each month of the year. This year it has changed slightly and there are 3 colours over 2 months. Starting in February with blue, white & gray. Now I won’t be limiting myself to these colours for February but I think it may be used as a creative prompt. You know, when you’re not sure what to do, where to begin, what colour to use for a particular project. Postings for Project Spectrum cover a range of subjects. It can be any creative project, cooking, pics of things you have seen that month. Anything that gets you thinking & noticing colour.
The postman bought me some lovely goodies yesterday:
“Knitter’s Stash – favourite patterns from America’s Yarn Shops” edited by Barbara Albright is a lovely book. It is soft covered, nearly 200 pages and filled with tips, stories and patterns. Nearly all of the patterns are something I would knit.
The other parcel contained a skein of sock yarn handdyed by Katt who sells her yarn here . It is called leaves and is the most glorious greens. I think I will use it to knit the Embossed Leaves Socks from Interweave Knits Winter 2005.
I hope to get some pics of the jacket soon, it has just been much too hot!!
