Thanks Helen!

Today I got a lovely parcel from Helen. I won a competition that Helen was running on her blog. Here is what I received:

Some Cherry Tree Hill Supersock merino in my fav colours! Helen also included a lovely pattern that has 2 scarfs to choose from. I’ve added it to my Ravelry queue. I absolutely love the yarn so this will be a definite knit sometime in the future. Thanks Helen, very generous.
The Angel Puff Scarf that I chose to knit for the Yarn magazine KAL is just about ready for felting. I’m onto the 3rd ball of the Kid Mohair so I just have to make a decision as to the length.
The colour is showing up quite drab; it’s really a pretty mushroomy colour. I think the colourway is Clove (or something similar)

My next project for the Yarn KAL is also a felted item. I’ve decided on a Wine Sock from the first issue. I’m hoping to get this done in time to dress up a bottle of wine that I’m giving as a gift in the next few days.

Another thing I thought of for Christmas gifts was a knit face cloth with some handmade (not by me) soap inside. With this in mind I cast on a circular dishcloth. It’s an interesting pattern & a quick knit.

I am using a strand of 4ply Cotton Fields crochet cotton with a strand of Milford Soft Crochet cotton. The pattern is a freebie. You can find it here.
