Botanical Drawing

Botanical drawing last week:

We were given a piece of White Cyprus Pine to draw.

This week (the last of 4 lessons) should be challenging. Our teacher is presenting us with a flower of some kind.

I’ve also started on the Textile unit. It is one unit in the BA (Arts) at Curtin University. I have not obligated myself to the full degree at this stage, but thought I would take one practical unit as a taster. It is going to keep me busy over the next few weeks with lots of research to do & lots of practical exercises to work through.

I’ve started on my Dictionary of Materials:

and started thinking about my first project.

Knitting? Yes, I have. I’ve nearly finished the Rosehip Waistcoat for the Yarn KAL. Hopefully I’ll get some pics up later in the week.

The bag I made for the Bag Lady Swap on Ravelry is finished the knitting stage, has been felted & I’m just waiting for it to dry before I assemble it.

Sign ups are now on for the International Scarf Exchange. This will be my 3rd ISE, always good fun. It is limited to the first 200 sign ups so be quick if you’re interested.

Also on the horizon is the first mail out for the 7 Deadly S(p)ins club. The first is Gluttony & I can’t wait to see what arrives in the next couple of weeks.
