Rosehip Waistcoat

The Rosehip Waistcoat from Yarn magazine, issue 2, is ready, just in time for the cooler weather. It is a great, quick knit. I knit with 2 yarns together, changing one whenever I felt like it. As the yarns were differing thicknesses, I used one thin & one thicker throughout. The guage changed with each yarn change but was “close enough” to the pattern specs to give me the correct size & the changing gauge was part of the look I wanted. Still not quite as “home made” looking as I would have liked though.

The shawl pin is one I bought last year from Katherine Kowalski through her etsy shop. Lovely lady, great service & beautiful wooden items (hair sticks, clips, crochet hooks etc).
