I finished a couple of quick projects a few weeks ago & then kept forgetting to take photos, so I haven’t blogged about them yet or added them to ravelry.
The first was the Tickled Pink scarf from Knitters magazine. I did this in the Bendigo Woollen Mills Alpaca in Briar Rose. I found this yarn a little scratchy but it should be ok as this will be worn over something else & not in direct contact with my skin. It was nice & soft to knit with though & I have heaps left for another project.
The second project was a cute little hat. It’s just a standard hat pattern that I did in a 2 x 2 rib. The yarn is Malabrigo so it’s super soft!
I added a little flower that I cut out of a felted recycled sweater & then placed a fabric covered button in the middle. The best thing is the sizing. Because of the double rib this hat will stretch quite a bit, from a child to a teen. It may be finding it’s way to my etsy shop soon (just need better pics).
My October page for the Bead Journal Project is progressing & hopefully will be finished by the end of the month.
