Don’t Forget To Breathe

Every year is the same: I can’t believe it’s December already, it’s nearly Christmas, how did that happen, do the years really go faster as you get older or does it just seem that way because you have more responsibilities, more things to get done, more things you want to do & less time to do them in?

Yesterday I made snowflakes:

Yes snowflakes! In December, in Australia, in 80+ degrees F heat, a week before Christmas, when my ‘to-do’ list is increasing exponentially every day.  But mostly I got to sit with friends, in a lovely store filled with beautiful yarns & fabrics and drink tea & chat & relax.
It’s the Sunday before Christmas, I have washing piling up, beds to be be stripped & remade, 4 days of work that will fill my days & leave little time for anything else, last minute gifts to buy, a special gift to wrap, grocery shopping, baking, packing …… So really, my life is no different from yours.

As long as I find time to stop & breathe everything will be ok. In the blink of an eye it will be over & the new year upon us.
 Happy Holidays.
